Pelatihan Pembuatan Media Hodroponik Desa Tuapukan Kabupaten Kupang

Abstrak

The hydroponic media production training at GMIT Zaitun Tuapukan, Kupang Regency, aims to address agricultural challenges such as land degradation and climate change through hydroponic methods. Hydroponics is a soilless farming technique using balanced water and nutrients, enabling faster and more efficient plant growth in limited space. The training involved 20 participants from the church congregation and local community. Participants were taught the basic concepts, benefits of hydroponics, and hands-on practice in creating simple hydroponic systems using materials like PVC pipes, plastic cups, and water pumps. As a result, participants could independently create basic hydroponic setups at home. The training successfully increased participants' knowledge of hydroponic benefits, including water efficiency, optimal space utilization, and faster plant growth. Participants showed enthusiasm for implementing hydroponics at home, expected to enhance their family's food security. Moreover, the training opened economic empowerment opportunities, with some participants interested in starting small hydroponic businesses. This training had a significant impact on increasing participants' knowledge, skills, food security, and economic empowerment, contributing to sustainable agricultural development in Indonesia.
